Hygiene Roll Packaging Belts are designed to package many types of rolls, but mainly toilet paper packages. As the rolls are stacked in bundles of two or more with plastic film wrapped around them. When fully wrapped, the ends are finished in the style of an envelope when sealed.
The wrapped plastic ends must then be heat sealed as the package travels along the production line through the PTFE Hygiene Roll Packaging Belts. To do this, there is a bench of radiators on either side of the package which provides the heat source to melt the wrapped ends down. If the plastic came into direct contact, it would stick and melt the pack, preventing it from sealing properly and preventing the line from functioning. In order to overcome this potential problem, two endless PTFE sealing strips are used in pairs to create a heat resistant barrier and a Non-stick surface.
